Job Description:
As a Welding Inspector (IWE or IWT), you are responsible for inspecting, assessing, and following up on welding and construction work within an industrial environment, specifically in the chemical and petrochemical sectors. You will ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of installations and repairs in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
Certification as an IWE (International Welding Engineer) or IWT (International Welding Technologist)
Minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience within the chemical and/or petrochemical sector
Demonstrable experience in inspection and welding technology processes
Inspections & Certifications
The role also includes independently performing the following inspections:
CUI inspections (Corrosion Under Insulation)
UT Level II (Ultrasonic Testing)
PT Level II (Penetrant Testing)
Additional Expertise
Experience with WPS / PQR (Welding Procedure Specification / Procedure Qualification Record)
Strong knowledge of and experience in identifying and assessing corrosion mechanisms
Preparation of repair and inspection dossiers
Active follow-up and technical assessment of repair work
Advising on repair methods and quality assurance
