Function

  • You work according to guidelines regarding safety, welfare, health, and environmental legislation, as well as work instructions and work permits;•
  • You perform periodic inspections to ensure technical conditions are identified and corrective actions are taken;
  • You resolve and report malfunctions, and perform repairs on mechanical equipment/installations based on your own findings and/or received fault reports;
  • You maintain, repair, and overhaul hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, piping systems, valves, rotating equipment, etc., within the field of mechanical engineering;
  • You perform tasks such as machining, creating structures, sheet metal work, and welding;
  • You maintain accurate administration, such as registering hours and material usage.
  • Completed MBO education—preferably at level 4.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within the chemical/process industry;
  • Thorough knowledge and experience regarding mechanical engineering, supplemented with level 2 welding diplomas, hydraulics and pneumatics, steam and condensate, project management, geometric measurement techniques, optical measurement, and alignment.
  • Ability to read technical drawings;
  • VCA-VOL certificate;
  • Forklift certificate;
  • Flange technician;
  • Electrical switching;
  • Safe lifting certificate;
  • Affinity with various software programs (e.g., SAP, Excel);
  • Good command of the Dutch language and basic knowledge of English.
  • Together with 5 colleagues, you will perform on-call shifts as a Mechanical Technician according to a fixed schedule. For this reason, we are looking for a candidate who lives within a maximum of 30 minutes’ drive from our factory in Breda.
