Function

  • Serving as the point of contact for contractors on-site and ensuring a proper flow of information between various parties (internal and external) to proactively detect conflicts (planning, quality, location, etc.) and propose solutions.
    • Chairing contractor meetings and providing input during site meetings.
    • Escalating issues when necessary.
    • Advising on problems and involving the necessary and appropriate parties to facilitate decision-making
  • Contributing to the safety policy by enforcing safety regulations (including site regulations and the Royal Decree on Temporary or Mobile Construction Sites), participating in prevention policies, and gathering or creating all necessary information to guarantee safety within projects and sites in accordance with applicable guidelines and legal obligations.
  • Identifying improvements and applying lessons learned to ensure continuous optimization of operations on existing and new sites.
  • Staying informed about legislation and keeping knowledge up to date regarding relevant safety standards, guidelines, and new developments within the field to maintain the most current insights and information.
  • Developing, drafting, and updating safety, health, and prevention plans and overseeing their correct compliance and application to ensure the safety of all parties involved at construction sites and to contribute to the development of a safety culture during both the design and implementation phases.
    • Drafting and updating the safety and health plan (design and implementation).
    • Drafting and completing the post-intervention file.
    • Ensuring legal compliance with the Royal Decree on Temporary or Mobile Construction Sites as a safety coordinator for sites requiring safety coordination.
  • Collecting construction site data and drafting and maintaining the coordination diary, as well as organizing coordination meetings with all parties involved.
  • Investigating and identifying occupational risks at construction sites and drafting and establishing corrective measures to improve safety on temporary or mobile construction sites and align them with applicable regulations.
  • Overseeing the correct execution and compliance of site safety regulations regarding construction sites to prevent accidents and damage and to promote a healthy and safe working environment through the analysis and evaluation of co-activities, consecutive activities, and risks inherent to site activities.
  • Identifying critical phases for the respective sites and updating and improving existing processes and procedures regarding safe operations to define risks and take preventive actions.

In possession of a Level A Safety Coordinator certificate.
