Electrical Designer Eplan

An electrical designer is part of the on-site engineering team. You design electrical diagrams for control and power panels, among others, using Eplan (occasionally AutoCAD). You perform cable calculations using Caneco BT. You monitor and inspect the work of subcontractors and report on this to the engineering team. You also provide technical input based on your expertise during team meetings. Continuous learning and on-the-job training to further specialize in areas such as AREI, Safety Integrity Levels, and machine safety are certainly among the possibilities.

Function

  • Designing and drafting diagrams in Eplan (occasionally AutoCAD)
  • Performing cable calculations in Caneco BT
  • Monitoring and inspecting the work of panel builders, electrotechnical installers, etc.
  • Participating and providing technical input during multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Reporting on the progress of electrical projects
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience in electromechanics or a related field of study
  • Several years of demonstrable experience in designing with Eplan
  • Knowledge of Caneco BT and AutoCAD are not essential, but are considered an advantage
  • Communication skills in Dutch
  • Accurate, proactive, and safety-conscious
