As a Process Engineer, you will support various project managers in realizing different projects, specifically the design and construction of experimental setups the size of a pilot plant. During the assignment, the projects will be in the phases of detailed design, procurement, site preparation, and construction. All experimental setups are high-temperature process installations using liquid lead. In this role, the contractor’s task is to translate high-level guidelines and requirements from project managers into specific requirements for internal executors or contracts for contractors. You will also provide support in performing basic calculations (flow, heat, and strength), risk analyses, selection of process components, and the drafting of technical specifications.

Functie

  • Drafting specifications and procedures, and selecting process components
  • Monitoring the manufacturing process of mechanical components, both internally and externally
  • Receipt, inspection, and storage of delivered goods
  • Organizing and monitoring activities and work preparation for the following disciplines: civil, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and process
  • Implementing and monitoring safety measures as described in the safety plan
  • Performing basic process calculations (flow, heat, and strength)
  • Participating in or chairing risk analyses with a critical eye on safety and feasibility
  • Degree in “Industrial Sciences: Chemistry, Electromechanics, Energy, or Nuclear Technology” or equivalent through experience
  • Experience in drafting, analyzing, and interpreting technical plans and diagrams (P&ID, mechanical technical drawings, electrical diagrams, connection diagrams, etc.)
  • Good communication skills, enabling you to work in a multidisciplinary and international team
  • Good knowledge of general IT applications (SAP is an asset)
  • Strong sense of responsibility and a proactive attitude toward safety
  • Experience with operations in the process industry
  • Experience in project management
