Functie

• The Environmental, Health & Safety Manager is responsible for all matters related to Health, Safety, and Environment.
• Managing environmental permits and ISO 14001 certification
• Conducting internal and external audits
• Implementing Umicore group standards for environment and safety
• Preparing and monitoring the Global Prevention Plan for Well-being (GPP) and Annual Action Plans (JAP)
• Coordinating emergency response and first aid teams
• Performing risk analyses (chemical and process-related)
• Representing Umicore in external organizations and maintaining contacts with local authorities
• Reporting KPIs and safety statistics
• Organizing safety trainings and seminars
• Managing waste contracts and external audits
• Serving as the point of contact outside office hours for approximately 6 weeks per year

 Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• Recognized certification as Prevention Advisor Level 1 and Environmental Coordinator Level A
• At least 5 years of operational management experience
• Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation (regional, national, European)
• Technical and legal knowledge of energy, emissions, and noise
• Interest in chemistry and chemical processes

• Team player with a sense of responsibility• Ability to work independently and with integrity
• Ability to reconcile environmental and safety values with industrial objectives
