Job details

Functie

  • Creating design sketches in the disciplines of mechanics, process installations, and infrastructure for devices, equipment, and technical installations.
  • Converting design sketches into a technical CAD 3D model in Autodesk Inventor and/or PTC Creo.
  • Performing rudimentary dimensioning calculations using available datasheets, conventional strength of materials, or calculation tools integrated into the CAD package.
  • Preparing detailed 2D manufacturing drawings with the necessary dimensions, and geometric and positional tolerances.
  • Researching and utilizing suitable commercially available standard components.
  • Managing and maintaining version and revision control of the created models and drawings in the data management system Vault (for Inventor) and/or Windchill (for Creo).
  • Archiving released drawings.
  • Master of Science in Industrial Engineering as a reference profile: mechanics or electromechanics.
  • Optional equivalent: Professional Bachelor in Electromechanics with extensive relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of mechanical structures in disciplines such as steel construction, machine building, prototype construction, piping and process equipment, precision mechanics, etc.
  • Very thorough knowledge of the 3D CAD system AutoCAD Inventor and/or PTC Creo, depending on the project(s) to be supported.
  • Good practical expertise in performing mechanical strength calculations according to the rules of conventional strength of materials.
  • Practical knowledge regarding common construction materials and experience with mechanical fabrication and welding techniques is recommended.
  • Very good knowledge of Dutch and good knowledge of English.
  • Experience using data management software AutoCAD Vault and/or PTC Windchill.
  • Knowledge of both CAD packages: Inventor and Creo.
  • Expert use of FEA tools within the CAD program.
