Function

You have acquired a skill set in material and transport management and silo planning. What sets this role apart is the rock & roll of daily operations, intervene on unforeseen circumstances, multiple internal and external contacts and the possibility to learn the complete steps of the process– from the product in the silo until the delivery to the customer.

The SCM execution team spans across the sites of Antwerp and Wingles under the guidance of the head of SCM execution team BE/FR. Our preference would be someone located in Antwerp, but other EMEA sites are suitable as well.

 

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities are:

  • Transport management: Organize and monitor end product transportation to our customers within a framework of contracted carriers, optimizing transport routes and methods (via truck, combined transport and sea).
  • Technology Expertise: You’re familiar with SAP/APO and data analytics. You’re able to track key performance metrics, providing clear insights into the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of supply chain execution processes.

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Economics, Logistics, SCM, or a related business field.
  • Three years of experience in Supply Chain planning.
  • Proficieny in English and Dutch-Flemish.

  • Strong team player with communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developed analytical thinking, enabling quick adaptation to changing conditions and making connections within a complex environment to interpret data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach with the capability to anticipate future issues to prevent disruptions to operations, implement effective solutions and enhance customer satisfaction.

SAP ERP MM/SD/APO: SCM-related transactions
Power BI: Consulting and modifying reports in SAP
MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Strong team player: Promotes teamwork across the organization. Maintains open and effective communication with team members and colleagues. Able to resolve conflicts or handle interpersonal frictions through open and proactive communication.
Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills: Strong verbal and written communication with all stakeholders.
Ability to manage complexity and proven capacity to work under pressure: Able to set the right priorities with a strong sense of urgency. Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Well-developed analytical and conceptual thinking: Able to process a wide range of data, work in a complex environment, identify (new) connections, and act quickly in changing or unforeseen circumstances.
Proactive mindset: Able to identify and anticipate potential (future) issues.
