Function

  • Act as a knowledge holder within the organization and provide technical advice to internal and external parties, with the aim of ensuring the efficient operation of the cell’s organization.
    • Keep existing knowledge up to date and safeguard undocumented knowledge.
    • Draw up and keep technical specifications up to date.
    • Form a tandem with the manager and foreman(s) as well as the operations staff
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, needs and/or requirements and devise and elaborate scenarios to optimize the installation
    • Question the proposed standards.
    • Consult with the various parties involved.
    • Follow up on projects to implement an optimization as project leader or as a team member.
  • Implement adjustments to existing installations in function of activities within the cell, whether or not in the form of projects, with the aim of ensuring the optimal operation of the cell and avoiding potential problems.
    • Coordinate work on the installations/buildings (e.g. ventilation, confinement, etc.)
    • Develop ideas resulting from consultation with foremen and operators
    • Check the quality of the work performed.
  • Document processes and installations with the aim of safeguarding knowledge and ensuring sustainable and safe operation.
    • Create and keep safety reports up to date.
    • Draw up internal documents (e.g. permit applications, IPAs, MOCs, step-by-step plans, etc.)
    • Prepare and check instructions, files and other administrative documents.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of the cell’s operation with the aim of achieving timely realization and, moreover, keeping stakeholders informed of the progress.
    • Report progress of work to the hierarchy
    • Achieve and monitor KPIs.
    • Provide input for the planning of the operation.
  • Identify, analyze and address problems and look for solutions with the aim of solving problems or trying to prevent them in the future.
    • Frame the problem and map out possible solutions
