Privacy statement
Netwerk is a public limited company and business service provider, located at Desguinlei 22, 2018 Antwerp.
The privacy of (candidate) employees, other relations and visitors to the site is essential to this service. Netwerk therefore handles and protects personal data with care. Netwerk complies with the legislation on the protection of personal data and is responsible for the processing of personal data, as described in this statement. Naturally, Netwerk cannot guarantee security or confidentiality against hackers, others or security flaws.
Netwerk processes personal data for various purposes. This is in function of certain legal obligations, in function of a justified own interest or that of third parties (e.g. a client) or in function of the search for candidates.
Personal data is data about an identified or potentially identifiable natural person, such as address details, CV, etc. Special personal data, on the other hand, is data about health, sexuality, religious beliefs, criminal history, race or ethnic origin. Netwerk does not process this data, unless necessary and with a legal basis.
In concrete terms.
Personal data of the (candidate) employee is stored and processed in order to be able to make offers, to assess the profile and suitability and/or to respond to the request or application, to carry out employee management or payroll administration or to carry out internal research and internal audits. Netwerk also responds to questions from data subjects, improves its services and guarantees safety.
Netwerk processes the following personal data in this context:
- name, home and e-mail address, telephone number and other contact details,
- birth details, nationality, age and gender,
- CV, motivation letter, vacancy, preferences,
- information about availability,
- references, diplomas, certificates, work experience, training courses, internships, driving license, work permits, visas,
- membership of professional associations,
- social media and profiles (e.g. LinkedIn),
- photo,
- notes from Netwerk,
- screenings: integrity statements, ancillary positions,
- assessment results,
- personnel file as required by labor, tax and social security legislation,
- bank account numbers, salaries, rates of self-employed persons,
- absenteeism rate,
- company car details and other benefits,
By filling in the form, the candidate employee gives Netwerk explicit permission to store the provided data and make it available to a client.
Netwerk also processes the personal data of those working at its relations for the management of the performance of the employees, to conclude and have agreements executed. Among other things, the names, contact details (including e-mail addresses, telephone numbers) and functions are processed.
Netwerk shares personal data with:
- authorized employees,
- clients, when presenting candidates,
- processors, who process data on behalf of Netwerk,
- others, e.g. service providers of Netwerk,
The data may be transferred outside Belgium. Netwerk has taken the necessary measures to ensure that the transferred personal data is adequately protected, if applicable.
Subject to legal obligations, Netwerk does not store personal data for longer than is necessary to achieve the aforementioned purposes.
At any time, a request can be made for (own) personal data:
- to inspect,
- to change,
- to improve,
- or to have it deleted.

At the same address, one can object to the processing of personal data on the basis of a legitimate interest of Netwerk, the restriction of the processing of personal data, the data transfer of personal data, and this in each case in the cases provided for by law. The given consent for the processing of personal data can also be withdrawn there.

Netwerk makes every effort to protect personal data as optimally as possible. Netwerk does this by means of physical, administrative, organizational and technical measures and strict procedures. Only authorized persons have access to the data. If and insofar as data is provided to processors or others who provide services or perform assignments on behalf of Netwerk, Netwerk concludes processor agreements with them for compliance with privacy legislation and/or makes careful agreements with them in this regard. Netwerk has established procedures for reporting data breaches. The Netwerk website is scanned for viruses and other malicious software.
If there is a (suspicion of) a data breach, Netwerk requests that this be reported immediately via gdpr@netwerkbelgium.com.
