Kim Walop: a jack-of-all-trades in Rotterdam

Kim Walop, the silent force behind strong matches. For almost a decade, Kim has been the connecting link at Netwerk Nederland. Not a classic recruiter, but an all-round consultant who looks beyond the CV. She arranges, guides, connects – from expats to engineers. Her approach? Human, decisive and always with an eye for sustainable impact. Curious about how she does it? You should talk to her sometime.

“I help people find a job where they feel good, and companies find the right people who really fit their team and culture.”

Kim Walop (42) lives in Rotterdam and has been a permanent fixture at Netwerk Nederland for almost nine years. As an internal consultant, she fulfills a 360-degree function: she guides candidates and companies, and always looks for the right match. That requires much more than comparing CVs. “It’s about listening, feeling and advising. My approach is both people-oriented and results-oriented.”

From events to technology

Kim studied event management and initially thought about entering the event world. Through an employment agency, she unexpectedly ended up in recruitment herself. “That turned out to be a surprisingly good fit,” she says. She has been active in the technical sector since 2009, a world that appeals to her because of its clarity, hands-on mentality and professionals.

Jack-of-all-trades

No day is the same. Kim conducts interviews with candidates, maintains client relationships, visits employees at their workplace and is available for practical questions. This also includes guiding expats, including housing, integration and language. “It’s great to help people find their way in a new country and working life.”

future

For the time being, Kim is completely at ease. Her focus is on further expanding relationships with clients and candidates. “I want to continue to grow in what I do now – through in-depth knowledge, expertise and a stronger network. As long as I get energy from my work and can help people, I’m in the right place.”

Freedom and trust

After a takeover at her previous employer, Kim was ready for something new. Through a business relationship, she met Stijn De Loore, and the connection was immediate. “What attracted me to Netwerk was the people-oriented approach and the freedom. I can make choices that I believe in and work on sustainable relationships in the long term. That combination really makes the difference.”

Colleague and team player

With a small, close-knit team in the Netherlands, collaboration is central. Colleagues know Kim as someone who is always busy, involved and positive. “I like working hard and like to roll up my sleeves. People can count on me – whether it’s to think along, arrange something practical or just listen.”
