For a plant/factory (Piping) with various production units operating continuously. As you can imagine, production can only be maintained through efficient maintenance. For this maintenance, we utilize services from our own maintenance organization or external firms and purchase spare parts.
At the request of the maintenance or procurement departments, you perform preliminary, counter, or post-calculations to compare quotes on scope completeness and price. The advice you provide enables the selection of the best party. This primarily concerns mechanical maintenance work.
Based on technical drawings, you can estimate material requirements, transport, and foundations. You ask the right questions to complete the scope, know where to request information, and can index this accurately.
You do this by:
– Providing professional expertise regarding technical specifications and creating cost estimates,
– Navigating between the factories, procurement, and external firms,
– Effectively managing the interests of all stakeholders,
– Assessing requests for completeness to ensure we receive exactly what is required.
What makes this role unique?
– Your role is vital, as your work ensures the right job for the best price,
– You will become part of a department that is relatively new within the organization, meaning you will help put this new service on the map.
