Site manager

We are looking for a driven site manager to oversee the daily organization, safety, and quality on our sites. You will be the central point of contact for contractors, internal teams, and the safety coordinator. With a keen eye for planning, quality, and costs, you will closely monitor all activities. You will ensure correct registrations, maintain the site journal (including photos), organize daily start-up meetings, and coordinate practical execution. You will detect deviations in planning, costs, or quality in a timely manner and report them clearly. Upon completion of the works, you will handle monthly reporting to the project manager.

In short: you guarantee a safe, efficient, and flawless execution of the works.

โ€ข Before the works:
o Familiarization with the project management and quality plan PMQP (via internal training)
o Familiarization with the document management platform Bricsys (via internal training)
o Familiarization with the contracts regarding execution.
o Knowledge of access procedures for third parties: https://www.sckcen.be/en/contact/plan-your-visit-sck-cen#anchor-external-contractors-at-sck-cen

โ€ข During the works:
o Monitoring of access procedures and social fraud, and taking action where necessary (Registration)
o Maintaining the site journal, including daily photography.
o Daily ‘Start the Workday’ briefing: discussing the list of daily tasks, identifying high-risk tasks, and indicating measures. Reviewing the risk analysis.
o Communication with the safety coordinator.
o Internal communication where necessary.
o Communication with contractors, including participation in coordination meetings.
o Identifying schedule deviations on-site (as contractually defined)
o Identifying quality deviations on-site (as contractually defined)
o Identifying cost deviations on-site: additional/reduced work and checking quantity surveys (as contractually defined)
o Monitoring safety on-site
o Drafting work permits
o Practical arrangements necessary for the execution of the works.

o Monthly reporting to the PM HCs

โ€ข Necessary/minimum requirements
o Degree: min. Bachelor in Civil Engineering, Electromechanics, etc.;
o Experience in monitoring the construction of industrial projects
o At least 3 years of experience
