Function

A day as a Work Preparator Piping & Mechanical can include the following activities:

  • You determine the precise activities that need to be carried out and on which pipes.
  • You check whether there are safety risks that could have a limiting influence on the execution or whether the execution entails certain risks.
  • You estimate the lead time and costs, taking into account the imposed limits.
  • You carry out field checks (measuring and checking), taking into account local conditions such as accessibility, other activities, heat, chemicals, underground pipes, etc.
  • You draw up an optimal work sequence and indicate which activities influence each other or are dependent on each other.
  • You reserve materials and spare parts according to the applicable material specifications and check whether the delivery dates fall within the set time frame.
  • You verify whether special tools and resources are needed or are available at the right time. Internal services or issuing? Is sufficient capacity available?
  • You find out which permits are required and what the procedures and regulations are.
  • You look up documentation and drawings and, if necessary, you make working drawings.
  • You also calculate the works so that a detailed cost statement can be drawn up.

  • Your native language is Dutch, you speak fluent English and you have notions of French.
  • You adhere to a pre-established planning and/or execution deadline.
  • You are result-oriented.
  • You can work both in a team and alone.
