For a Belgian scale-up located in the Port of Antwerp that has developed a groundbreaking technology, we are looking for a Process Operator. Our client has found a way to make carbon-neutral steam from industrial residual heat.

Their technology is suitable for large energy consumers, mainly in the petrochemical sector, and is also applicable in carbon capture processes.

Functie

As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for

  • You will work closely with Process Engineers and use your ability to read and interpret P&IDs for process optimization.
  • You will oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our installations, both in practice and from the control room.
  • You will ensure the smooth and safe start-up and monitoring of the installations, identifying and correcting any deviations in a timely manner.
  • Together with your team, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and installations.
  • You will prepare activities, carry them out independently or as part of a team, and always monitor safety.
  • A strong personality: motivated, eager to learn and with a sense of initiative.
  • Graduate, bachelor’s degree or higher secondary education (preferably chemistry or electromechanics) or equivalent through relevant work experience in a petrochemical environment.
  • A team player with a good dose of flexibility and an eye for safety, health and the environment.
  • Decisive and solution-oriented, able to set the right priorities and take initiative.
  • A great passion to pass on your knowledge to a young and very motivated team.
  • A drive to bring solutions for a sustainable industry and thus contribute to improving energy efficiency and reducing CO2
