You drive, overlook and implement important related procurement projects in the category Facility Management, in collaboration with the internal stakeholders, respecting and understanding their business needs as well as challenging them, and at the same time realize substantial added value for the organization.
- Set the project strategy : in/out scope, milestones, deliverables, team requirements, roles & responsibilities…
- Interact with the Program Manager and obtain consensus on the project (procurement) strategy
- Present the project procurement strategy to the own hierarchy, and where required to the program Steerco
- Interact with local procurement centers & different Umicore departments
- Ensure correct implementation of tools, processes and standards throughout the project • Manage external resources allocated to projects, and ensure adequate mobilization
- Resolve issues, pro-actively manage risk
- Deliver on schedule and cost objectives of the projects, regularly report status on project variance and schedule risks.
- Have a clear overview of the projects requirements
- Document all project decisions as per corporate guidelines, based on a transparent risk assessment related to ao HSE, Schedule, Quality, Contract and Commercial aspects.
- Drive for a strong commercial process
- Manage suppliers & subcontractors onsite, analyze the potential risk and recommend actions to mitigate the problems
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree or equivalent by experience
- More than 10yrs experience in Project Management in an international environment
- Profound knowledge of the Facility Management market, domain and categories
- Indirect purchasing experience, OPEX
- Procurement projects experience Non-Technical Profile Requirements

- Fluent in English is mandatory. Dutch, French or German language skills are a strong asset
