Fonction

As an Operations Engineer, you are responsible for the operational running and improvement of a unique chemical plant.
You combine operational responsibility with technical depth and project work:

  • Responsible for the daily operational management of the installation
  • Drafting and optimizing operational procedures (start-up, adjustment, safety)
  • Managing and scheduling a team of operators
  • Acting as Asset Lead: creating project plans, monitoring budgets, and setting priorities
  • Actively participating in engineering and optimization of the installation
  • Analyzing and implementing technical improvements and reliability optimizations
  • Collaborating with suppliers and critically evaluating technical proposals
  • Liaising with customers during interventions and activities on the installation
  • Involvement in testing, commissioning, and further development (R&D) of the technology
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (mechanical, chemical, electromechanical, etc.)
  • At least 5 years of experience in operations within a chemical or process environment
  • Strong hands-on mentality and willing to work on the installation yourself
  • Experience with installations, troubleshooting, and process improvement
  • Interest in or knowledge of thermodynamics, materials/corrosion, or energy processes is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interface between operators, engineers, and customers
  • You take ownership and feel at home in a dynamic scale-up environment
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English
