Maintenance Engineer

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will contribute to the construction, optimization, and maintenance of our research setups involving liquid metals. You will develop maintenance plans, ensure the traceability of all interventions, and coordinate execution alongside a small technical team. Additionally, you will develop new methods and protocols to make our installations future-proof.

In this role, you will contribute to the full lifecycle of our research installations—from design to operational reliability.

Fonction

Planning and coordinating both maintenance and the operation of the installations:

  • Managing a small technical team and monitoring the associated works.
  • Analyzing malfunctions, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective measures.
  • Facilitating collaboration between different departments, institutions, or industrial partners.
  • Supporting R&D teams by ensuring the availability of equipment and expertise.
  • Performing or supporting audits and inspections related to safety.
  • Recommending upgrades or replacements to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering Sciences.
  • Proven leadership and coordination skills.
  • Ability to think « out of the box » and solve problems.
  • A strong sense of responsibility.
  • Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of piping, tubing, ANSI standards, and the PED directive is an asset.
  • Knowledge of ULTIMO software is an asset.
